fact and fiction. The Bonk phenomenon is known worldwide through numerous
international exhibitions, books and films. Bonk machines have been
purchased for public and private
art collections, and many have been commissioned by corporations,
keen to be associated with such an innovative company. |
| The Bonk project
was begun in 1988 by the artist Alvar Gullichsen, with his
co-conspirator, the scriptwriter Richard Stanley, machine
builder Henrik Helpiö and the photographers Magnus
Weckström, Magnus Scharmanoff and Olli Lehtinen. |
